Got down to Bigbury at 3pm only to find no one out with the tide coming in and the wind blowing perfect cross shore with some decent sets coming in. I can only assume that people were put off by the storm force SW winds this morning.

Rigged my 5.4 and went out for a play. Sailed like a muppet for the first hour and got a couple of rinsings. Was joined by someone else on one of those extremely short Starboard waveboards who was tearing every wave both up and down the line. Got my act together and caught a few waves with some reasonable bottom turns and a few decent jumps on the way out. Came in as the wind just got too light.

In terms of sailing I would only give myself 2 stars but with the sun out and the uncrowded cross shore conditions were definitely 5+ stars. Must stop sailing like a wimp and get more with it in the future. There's always tomorrow judging by the forecast.
